Ok I've read all over the forums for weeks now trying to figure out how to get my .package files working correctly. I've watched countless YouTube videos of people claiming how 'easy' this is, but apparently for me, this is proving to be quite difficult.
Basic steps they instruct are to place your resource file in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods then put the .package files in Doc/EA/TS3/Mods/Packages folder and I'm sure I've done all these correctly. But I guess not because my files still aren't showing up
I was told in one video to cut and paste the file to your desktop, extract with 7zip (I have both 7zip and Winrar)then cut and paste to your mods/packages folder. Then another video said extract with winrar and copy paste it into the mods/packages folder and wait 3-4 minutes before playing. Content still is not showing up. Sims3pack files show up perfectly, just not the .package ones.
I have only The Sims 3 base game. Will someone please help me with a tried and true method on how to solve this problem (and also how to install the custom sliders properly, not much quality YouTube content on that). Also I am very new to the forums so I'm not sure if this is where I was supposed to post this.
Thank you so very much.
